Correlation of NGS data with clinical parameter

Dear All,

I have an expression profile of a group of 100 miRNA quantified through miRNA-seq in healthy and disease affected patients.

In the same set of samples I have one clinical parameter (continuos values).

Is there a way to find samples that belongs to the same group?
in other words how could I explore the association between levels of microRNAs and my clinical parameter?

Any hint or any tool may I use?

These data could be treated as RNA-seq data, so several bioconductor packages, including edgeR and DESeq(2) might be relevant.
