    maq map command...

    Hi all.
I have a question for MAQ program. I do mapping a solid data using maq map command following as:
    maq map -c aln.cs.map ref.csbfa read.bfq 2 > aln.log

but I wonder what does '2' mean ?

    thank you~ ^^

You should read some bash guide, you may start
    here.
BTW, 2 is the standard error file descriptor, the "2>" syntax means you are redirecting the error stream to a specific file (a log file in your case)
