    How to combine forward and reverse sequences of 16S at one time

    Hello,

    I have 16S forward and reverse sequences from Sanger. I do not want to combine them one by one using Bioedit. I was looking for this website to find ways to combine them at one time and Sequencher is one of ways to do it. But it is not a free program. Is anyone help me find free program to do it? Thanks.

      I've done this with mothur, specifically the make.contigs command.
