    HOW TO INSTALL maq

I am a linux learner and now trying to install MAQ on it. Do you guys know how to do it correctly? Should I download a maq-0.7.1.tar.bz2 first and then unzip it in a folder, then use that
    ./configure; make; make install
    command?

    I fail to do it?
Can you guys give me a hint?
    thanks

Hmm. No idea, not only am I new to bioinformatics I'm new to Linux as well. Double whammy.

        Try this in the terminal:
        cat /etc/issue

It should tell you the distribution you are using.

        My terminal:
        bldf2b@kc-bio-bsb319debian:~$ cat /etc/issue
        Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 \n \l

          Hi
The last Ubuntu version for 64bits includes in sources a MAQ debian package, ready thus for aptitude/apt-get installation (if you have SU access however). As Ubuntu is based on Debian, it exists also probably in debian repository. it would then be the best way (and easier).

Multiomic Liquid Biopsy: What DNA/RNA Panels Reveal That DNA Alone Can’t
              by SEQadmin2

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating

New Genomics Technologies Take Aim at Long-Standing Limits
              by SEQadmin2

Researchers using sequencing and genomics tools often have to make trade-offs. They can choose between speed or scale, short reads or long-range information, or targeted panels or a view of the whole transcriptome. New technologies that have been released this year are built to address those tough choices.

We asked six companies the same four questions to learn about their latest products. The new technologies bring a lot to the table, including rethinking sequencing
