I am trying use Apollo (http://apollo.berkeleybop.org/current/index.html) software package to annotate newly discovered genes in Drosophila on my Windows 7 computer. Even though there is a version of the software specifically built for Windows, I cannot get it to run properly.
After installation (including installing the additional .bat file in the /bin directory and
running the program from this file) the program will not run unless the 'run as administrator' option is selected. Once open, the program seems to indefinitely freeze when I attempt to open open GFF3 files.
Has anyone else had similar problems trying to operate the Apollo program?
