  • unique kmers in genome equation?

    Hi all,

Just trying to make sure I've got this right. Is this the correct equation for calculating the number of expected unique kmers in a library:

Number of expected unique kmer = genome size + (number of reads)(mean length of read-kmer size - 1)(probably of error in read)

I think I might have this written down in my notes wrong. Anyone let me know if I messed up or not?

    Thanks
