    The meaning of operation 'B' of CIGAR in SAM format

    There is an operation 'B' (BAM_CBACK) of CIGAR in the source code of samtools(v0.1.19).
    But there isn't any comment about this operation.
    Does someone know the meaning of it?

    It was never really used, but was a proposed operator useful mostly for data from Complete Genomics. There's an email thread from the samtools list about this operator here.
