  • Bioinformatics Companies that can Develop NGS Primer Design Pipelines

    Hi everyone,
I am on the lookout for companies that provide solutions for NGS primer design. Specifically I am looking for companies that can develop programs for designing primers for targeted NGS for technologies like ArcherDx or Qiagen Single Primer Extension
    Nikhil

nvpatkar are you looking to do the entire design yourself or are you looking to have them design them for you? I know Thermo has a pretty sophisticated design software, but I doubt it's accessible for people that aren't using their AmpliSeq products.

I'm fairly certain there are some open-sourced tools I've read about in the past, but I can't speak to their validity.

Do you have any more info on what you're trying to target and sequence?

Hi GenomicSeq and thanks for the reply, I have designed my own library prep methodology and am trying to get it commercialised (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41408-020-0313-6)
I am looking for programmers to make a tool that can design primers for target enrichment. I am certain thermo wont hand over their code for this
But certainly someone (a programmer/ bioinformatician) did this at the backend. I am looking for that person.
Similarly Archer/Qiagen has programs to do this as well.

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
              by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

              Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
              by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
