Hello,
Assemblers such as Velvet and SPAdes have the kmer coverage of the contig in the contig name, but do not have the GC content. As a matter of fact, most assemblers do not output GC content of contigs in the name of the assembled contig.
Is there a script made already that looks through a fasta file and outputs the GC content in the name of each contig in a new fasta file?
