    MACS2 installation problem

I am trying to install MACS2 on a computer running OSX 10.9.2. I have Python 2.7.5 and numpy is properly installed. I get the error message below. Can anyone offer suggestions? Thanks.

clang: error: unknown argument: '-mno-fused-madd' [-Wunused-command-line-argument-hard-error-in-future]

clang: note: this will be a hard error (cannot be downgraded to a warning) in the future

error: Setup script exited with error: command 'cc' failed with exit status 1

Do you have Xcode 5.1 installed? If not do that first from the app store.

If you do have Xcode then try the first answer (xcode-select --install) suggested in this post. It is not directly related to your question but worth a try: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...-mac-os-x-10-9

Thanks. I do have xcode and command line tools installed.

I posted the same question on github and got some responses though I still haven't gotten it working yet.

Love this - good data definitely starts from good input, and poor input can only give relatively poor data. I particularly like the mention of Nanodrop/absorbance based methods for quantification. It's such a toss up if you'll get an accurate reading or what amounts to a randomly generated number, and a lot of library/sequencing related issues can be traced back to poor quant.

Nine Things a Sample Prep Scientist Thinks About Before Sequencing

I’m not a sequencing expert. I’m a purification scientist who uses NGS to evaluate workflows my group develops. With this perspective, we think about the sample first and the NGS workflow second. The sequencer is an exceptionally honest reporter, but it can only report on what you give it, so whether you get clean, interpretable data from an NGS workflow is largely determined before you begin.

Here are nine questions we think about, in roughly the order they matter, before...
