using the symbol @ in the gene nomenclature

I am trying to find out why the symbol "@" have been used for the name of certain genes like IGH@.
for example:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gene/281241

does anybody know what does it means placing the "@" at the end of the gene name?
