About PILER and PALS !!!!!!!!!

I tried to download both tools from

http://www.drive5.com/piler/

an error appears : This does not look like a tar archive
by PILER (Parsimonious Inference of a Library of Elementary
Repeats) searches a genome sequence for repetitive element

[SES]

This usually indicates that the download did not complete. I would recommend trying the download again. Also, note that PALS is not supported anymore, and there are likely better options if you can tell us a little bit about what you are trying to accomplish.
