    How to make website like TargetScan?

    Dear All
    Attached is a snap picture of TargetScan website. TargetScan is a tool for prediction of miRNA targets. On that website, when clicking on specific target site, it will display sequence alignment of different species, and the miRNA target site (seed sequence) is highlighted. What tools are necessary to build such a website?

    I'd say a DBMS and a server-side scripting language for the back-end and some Javascript/HTML5/CSS3 for the front-end.

      Love this - good data definitely starts from good input, and poor input can only give relatively poor data. I particularly like the mention of Nanodrop/absorbance based methods for quantification. It's such a toss up if you'll get an accurate reading or what amounts to a randomly generated number, and a lot of library/sequencing related issues can be traced back to poor quant.
