I don't know rpy2-bioconductor - and don't see the benefit either.
I've been using R and bioconductor via rpy2 for years now - it's a solid combo, especially in combination with pandas.

is rpy2-bioconductor-extensions good? is it still up to date?
My primary scripting language is python. And I start to use R packages more often, but still prefers working in python.
I start to look into rpy2, also noticed rpy2-bioconductor-extensions. But rpy2-bioconductor-extensions was last updated on 2010. Is it still up-to-date with current bioconductor releases? what's it can do while basic rpy2 cannot do? Is it better off just use pure R?
I'd like to listen to your opinions.
