Rafael Irizarry et al will launch an open (free) HarvardX series of online courses starting on January 19, 2015
The first series of courses is a reorganized version of our HarvardX class from this past year, Data Analysis for Genomics.
In this version, the course will be turned into an 8 course series. The motivation for doing this is to go more in-depth into the different topics and to provide different entry points for students with different levels of expertise. We will also be creating more interactive assessments.
The first class is "Statistics and R for the Life Sciences", which will cover inference, distributions, exploratory data analysis, recommended plots, and robust summary statistics.
