    move picard tools

    I installed picard-tools using
    Code:
     sudo apt-get install picard-tools
    and it installed in /usr/bin/picard-tools

    If I wanted to move it to /home/dnascopev/Desktop, how do I make sure all the dependecies and everything installs correctly there? Thank you .

      Guess it is not my place to ask why you want to move them to desktop ...

      Why not create softlinks in the location you want them to be?
