Psiblast Ungapped alignment only

I was wondering, can we run psiblast with -ungapped option as in blastp. will it be meaningful or psiblast has to perform gapped alignment to get correct results. I wanted to run it as ungapped to be faster even if this will result in less accuracy. Is it possible ?
