    samtools faidx error

    Hi... am having problem in indexing genome file. .can you tell how can i correct the length?? like what script i should use


    samtools faidx hg19.fa
    [fai_build_core] different line length in sequence 'chrY'

    Even though you don't appear to be getting a sefgault it is worth checking to see if you have an extra blank line at the end of chrY sequence (ref: http://seqanswers.com/forums/showpos...76&postcount=8)
