Hi everyone
I'm trying to use SyMap to draw up some synteny maps and for I have been trying to get MySQL up and running in order to run larger data sets.
From the MySQL website I have started to download, unpack and install MySQL up to the Post installation process. However, I keep running into errors!
Either, the scripts given on the website describe files in folders that aren't there or MySQL simply won't run etc.
I am trying to do this using MySQL 5.6.2 I think? And this is on a virtual box of Linux Mint on a Windows machine - could that be my problem? Could anyone please point me to somewhere with more information on starting up MySQL???!
