    Trouble Downloading bamtools on macosx

    Hi all,

I am a mac osx mavericks user and have been trying to download bamtools so I can begin writing code with. I've downloaded cmake and made it so far to run cmake .. (https://github.com/pezmaster31/bamto...and-installing). Then when I run make I get:

    CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:60 (include):
include could not find load file:

    /Users/nicholashill/src/new/bamtools/cmake/plugins.cmake

    CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:64 (add_subdirectory):
add_subdirectory given source "dependencies" which is not an existing
    directory.

    CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:65 (add_subdirectory):
add_subdirectory given source "mash" which is not an existing directory.

    CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:66 (add_subdirectory):
add_subdirectory given source "mash-utils" which is not an existing
    directory.

    CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:67 (add_subdirectory):
add_subdirectory given source "sdk" which is not an existing directory.

    CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:68 (add_subdirectory):
add_subdirectory given source "heuristics" which is not an existing
    directory.

    See also "/Users/nicholashill/src/new/bamtools/CMakeFiles/CMakeOutput.log".
    make: *** [cmake_check_build_system] Error 1

Is this a problem with my original cmake configuration? I'm not sure what to do at this point.

    Thanks

Are you using cmake version >= 2.6.4 as noted in the readme?

When I input cmake --version I get:

      cmake version 3.4.0-rc2

CMake suite maintained and supported by Kitware (kitware.com/cmake).

        Error says this

        Code:
include could not find load file:

        /Users/nicholashill/src/new/bamtools/cmake/plugins.cmake
Is that file there? Otherwise try a re-download of bamtools.

Completely unhelpful, but I just installed bamtools without a hitch with Mac OS El Capitan and cmake version 3.4.0-rc2.

I don't have a subfolder called cmake in the bamtools folder.

I'm not able to reproduce your error despite my best efforts.

I recloned bamtools and was able to finish the download. Maybe I was unable to complete it earlier because I hadn't installed cmake first. Anyway, thanks for the help. This was an easier problem than I realized.

Multiomic Liquid Biopsy: What DNA/RNA Panels Reveal That DNA Alone Can’t
              by SEQadmin2

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating

New Genomics Technologies Take Aim at Long-Standing Limits
              by SEQadmin2

Researchers using sequencing and genomics tools often have to make trade-offs. They can choose between speed or scale, short reads or long-range information, or targeted panels or a view of the whole transcriptome. New technologies that have been released this year are built to address those tough choices.

We asked six companies the same four questions to learn about their latest products. The new technologies bring a lot to the table, including rethinking sequencing
