SHORE fastq import error

I just tried to use 'shore import' from the SHORE pipline to import some paired end fastq files and I get this error message

stream conversion failed for "890/1": trailing characters

This seems very odd as it's perfectly expected that paired end read IDs will have a trailing /1 or /2. Does anyone know if I need to strip the trailing read pair tags? The import worked fine for a single end read file.

Answered my own question. Used sed to strip the trailing pair ID tags and now it imports ok.
