  • Advantage of Full length in scRNAseq

    Hi guys,
Can someone please tell me what are the advantages of full length scRNAseq? I was wondering because the cDNA would anyway be fragmented during the library preparation.
    Thanks for your help

Most scRNAseq starts with priming RT through polyA which synthesises cDNA over the transcript length. After amplification cDNA is fragmented for library prep. This type of experiments normally is used for DGE. If someone is interested in splice variants or intron retention then full length transcript analysis will be useful.
