    open *.sh files.

    hey,
    i downloaded files from Sequence Reading Archive from NCBI.
    the files are fastq format.
    i succeeded to open it in windows.
    but i didn't succeeded in linux, i am using ubuntu.
    anyone any idea?

    .sh files are shell scripts that usually dont contain sequence (well in my experience anyway). Usually fastq sequence files are *.fq or *.fastq

    Assuming you have permissions, do "bash *.sh". If you dont have permissions make the file executable using "chmod a+x *.sh"
