Hello again,
I have another question concerning the pileup format as produced by samtools afterr calling SNPs. I could not find what an ">" means in the "bases" column (column 9) in the outfile. Example is below. Does anyone know what a ">" means??
chr1 58753244 C A 3 43 60 6 >>>>aa hhhhII
chr1 58906919 G K 0 33 60 5 >>>>^~T hhhhh
chr1 58906920 T G 0 33 60 5 >>>>G hhhhh
