    Hi,

    I am new to NGS analysis .I am currently trying to understand the output of the fastx quality stats for my sequenced transcriptome .There is a column 'mean' which is the Mean quality score value for a particular column.Is this the value I should consider when I am faced with the question of trimming the bases whose cycle quality score is less.Also,what is considered a bad quality score.is it anything less than 20?
