    Amplification region in genome

    Hi there,

I have a question about after alignment, we plot the coverage distribution and found there are certain region (about 150kb) has a extra high coverage rate (about 300x-400x than average 100x). If this result is not from experimental artifact, it means there are some regions in the genome has been amplified.

Is anyone can share experience with me when you encounter this result and any good idea to detect the area of the amplification region.

    Thanks
