Good DNA/RNA preservation buffers?

Hi everyone,

I am in search of good DNA/RNA preservation buffers for microbiome work; do you have any suggestions? We usually conduct the sample collection overseas, so we would need buffers that would stabilize DNA/RNA during the shipment. The samples we work with are stool, breast milk, oral, vaginal, rectal, and skin swabs. If there is a good preservation buffer that would stabilize DNA/RNA AND Protein, that would be even better! I am also looking for a good preservation buffer that is compatible with Biomerieux's EasyMag automated extraction instrument. Any suggestions from your experience would be highly appreciated!
