The workshop is primarily designed for academic investigators (at all levels) involved in cancer research to acquire the skills required to analyse next generation sequence (NGS), expression array and SNP array data sets. Users will learn to run command-line tools under Linux and use GATK tool kit for variant discovery, annotations, and data quality analysis with statistical considerations to identify driver mutations. SNP array and expression array workshop modules will use the data analysis environment R/ Bioconductor. No prior knowledge of R would be required for attending this workshop, though desirable.
The course is open for 20 registered participants, last date for applying is Jan 3, 2013. Selection is based on the submitted abstracts and letters of support.
