  • Registration open for Nextflow Summit 2023, and free online Nextflow / nf-core training

Hi all! We have a bunch of Nextflow events coming up after the summer! 🎊

First up, registration for the 2023 Nextflow Summit events is LIVE!

We had lots of requests for an event in the US, so this year we are running two separate events:
    • πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ Barcelona: 16-20 October
    • πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Boston: 28-30 November
Both events will start with an nf-core hackathon and end with the Summit talks and social. Last year was an absolutely fantastic event and this year is looking to be even bigger and better πŸŽ‰
    • 🎫 Registration is open for Hackathon / Summit for both events
    • ✍️ Call for abstracts (talks/posters) is open for BOTH events (deadline July 31)
The website with all the details for both events: https://summit.nextflow.io

Second up, we have two Nextflow & nf-core community training events in September which are online and free to attend:Registration for both is now open, see the above links πŸ‘†

Hope to see many of you there! Shout if you have any questions πŸ˜β€‹

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
    by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. β€œEpitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

    Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
    by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
