Stickler Alert - Pronounciation

What do you think is the proper pronunciation of "genomic" ?

Soft "o" like economic, or long "o" like...no other word I can think of.

And, yes, I spelled pronunciation incorrectly.

economic actually has two o sounds, right? I think it's like the first one. like:

whoa
go
mow
tow

I have heard british people say genomic with the second sound, like

bomb
rom

It just occurred to me that there's another word like genomic. Scones. Some people say scoooohhnes and genoooohmic, and some say Scaahns and Genaaahmic.
