[HELP] Synteny software to track duplication events

    Hi there,
i am completely new in the field of bioinformatics, and therefore would be very grateful if someone could help me with my issue.

I am desperately looking for a synteny software which allows me to track, & visualize duplication events (of the size 200-400bp) and their relations on genome scale (even though the duplicated regions possess ~20% ambiguities in their sequences).
It would be great if i could for example feed the software with an input file containing several sequences of related duplication events and than screen the gDNA for further related events.
I would be very thankful for any help!

    Best wishes,
    Alexus

        Linux

Most likely as most open source software is meant for unix or mac (linux under the hood).

I strongly recommend you build/buy a linux box and learn how to navigate a terminal and perform simple scripting. It will make your exploration of data much more pleasurable.

        Best of luck

        Andrew

Yes, thats probably the most clever way to do it,thanks! I will definitely try to adopt at least some basic skills in near future.
          Best wishes,
          Alex

Multiomic Liquid Biopsy: What DNA/RNA Panels Reveal That DNA Alone Can’t
            by SEQadmin2

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating

New Genomics Technologies Take Aim at Long-Standing Limits
            by SEQadmin2

Researchers using sequencing and genomics tools often have to make trade-offs. They can choose between speed or scale, short reads or long-range information, or targeted panels or a view of the whole transcriptome. New technologies that have been released this year are built to address those tough choices.

We asked six companies the same four questions to learn about their latest products. The new technologies bring a lot to the table, including rethinking sequencing
