    cancer diagnostics, NGS or dna microarray

    Hi Guys,

    I am a grad student and just entered a sequencing lab. I want to know if there is any advantages in NGS compared to microarray for cancer diagnostics.

    Based on the literature research, DNA microarray is pretty success in detecting mutations. why people need to use NGS, such as MiSeq with TrueSeq amplicon panel to do what microarray already did?
