    Poll - Assistance Requested

Below is a link to a survey requesting your feedback as it pertains to DiART Omics Services. We realize your time is precious and you are likely very busy conducting your business and/or studies. We are requesting less than 5 minutes of your time to complete our survey.

    WHY THIS SURVEY?
We are graduate students conducting this survey as part our Capstone project at the University of Maryland University College. Our specific Capstone project aims to assist a company, Omic Biosystems, in their future endeavors. We are applying knowledge gained from previous study to real-world business and technical issues. We are also focusing on demonstrating analytical, communication, and leadership skills through case analysis of promising technologies and teamwork through group development of a strategic product development plan for a start-up biotechnology venture.

Complete the survey at the following website:

Create and publish online surveys in minutes, and view results graphically and in real time. SurveyMonkey provides free online questionnaire and survey software.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to obtain your feedback and for supporting us in our graduate studies.

Im sorry but I doubt that people will respond to this. No background information given at all, except for a generic outline.
This might needs some rethinking, other than trying the shotgun approach on a forum.

      Hello -

Thank you for your feedback. There is more information regarding the technology as an introduction to the survey (after you click on the survey link). In addition, information can be found on the Omic Biosystems website at omicbiosystems.com. We have received quite a few responses to our survey thus far. Althought a few more responses would be great, we are quite happy with the response rate.

Reply to Nine Things a Sample Prep Scientist Thinks About Before Sequencing

Love this - good data definitely starts from good input, and poor input can only give relatively poor data. I particularly like the mention of Nanodrop/absorbance based methods for quantification. It's such a toss up if you'll get an accurate reading or what amounts to a randomly generated number, and a lot of library/sequencing related issues can be traced back to poor quant.

Nine Things a Sample Prep Scientist Thinks About Before Sequencing
        by SEQadmin2

I’m not a sequencing expert. I’m a purification scientist who uses NGS to evaluate workflows my group develops. With this perspective, we think about the sample first and the NGS workflow second. The sequencer is an exceptionally honest reporter, but it can only report on what you give it, so whether you get clean, interpretable data from an NGS workflow is largely determined before you begin.

Here are nine questions we think about, in roughly the order they matter, before...
