    research on computer supported collaboration

    Hi,
my name is Ilaria Manno, I am a Post Doc at the Computer Science Dept. at University of Salerno (Italy).
I am doing research on Computer Supported Collaborative Work, together with Vittorio Scarano and Delfina Malandrino.

Currently, we are interested in developing software systems to support collaboration and information sharing among biologist research groups. To this aim we have prepared a questionnaire to define the workflow and the information sharing mechanisms usually adopted by the research teams in the Biological field.

Understanding these aspects is fundamental to develop software systems to support collaboration and information sharing.

We would be grateful to everyone would collaborate by filling in the following online form, it will take approx. 6 minutes.

This questionnaire has been prepared by ISISLab, research lab of the Dipartimento di Informatica of the Università degli Studi di Salerno (Italy). Our aim is to define the workflow and the information sharing mechanisms usually adopted by the research teams in the Biological field. Understanding these aspects is fundamental to develop software systems to support collaboration and information sharing. We are not specifically interested in your research activity: the questions are generic and concern the work organization only. All answers will be aggregated in our analysis and will never be published individually. The questionnaire consists of three sections aiming: * identify the steps of a biological experiment; * define the composition of the teams in each step; * understand the information sharing mechanisms among the teams. The questionnaire will take approx. 6 minutes. Your answers will be collected and analyzed for research purpose by ISISLab - Dip. Informatica, Università degli Studi di Salerno (Italy) Thank you for your collaboration! The questions are generic and concern the work organization only: no information are required about your research activity. All answers will be aggregated in our analysis and will never be published individually.

In the form you could provide (optionally) your email address address to receive aggregate results and to receive possible few further questions.

    Thank you for your collaboration!

Beyond CRISPR/Cas9: Understand, Choose, and Use the Right Genome Editing Tool
      by SEQadmin2

CRISPR/Cas9 sparked the gene editing revolution for both research and therapeutics.1 But this system still showed severe issues that limited its applications. The most prominent were the heavy reliance on PAM sequences, delivery limitations, double-stranded breaks that prompt unintended edits and cell death, and editing inefficiency (both in targeting and in knock-in reliability).

Despite this, “CRISPR helped turn genome editing from a specialized technique into

Proteomic Platforms: How to Choose the Right Analytical Strategy to Improve Detection and Clinical Applications
      by SEQadmin2

Proteomics platforms are evolving rapidly, with advances in mass spectrometry and affinity-based approaches expanding what researchers can detect and at what scale. As the field moves toward deeper proteome coverage and clinical applications, scientists face an increasingly complex landscape of tools. This article will explore how researchers are navigating these choices to find the right platform for their work.

The systematic characterization of the human proteome has
