Commercial vs Self-ordered Index primers

Hello Everybody!

Could anyone please explain to me why should we buy commercial indexing primers ? Are they purified somehow specifically ? Why the amounts IDT and Illumina sell are so small ?
Do you seq people use self-ordered indexing primers (for example Nextera ones) ?
