    Need help with soil DNA extraction from sandy saline soil

    Hello,

    I am having problem extraction good quality DNA from a saline sandy soil. I seem to be getting low DNA yield with apparent shearing seen on agarose after electrophoresis. I will be using the DNA for pyrosequencing, later. Does anybody know which is the best kit or protocol to use for this type of soil sample?
