    Hi all,

I've just joined the forum. I'm based in London and am trying my hand at NGS - scary! I'm in the process of generating expression data using the Illumina Highseq and would like to carry out some very basic r-based analyses. The problem is that I have no prior experience with r/bioconductor etc and so would be incredibly grateful if someone could advise as to the best way to get started. I realise this is probably quite an ask but even a link to some useful 'teach yourself' pages would get me started.

    many thanks

    Chris
