  • Hello from the Eastcoast!

    Hi,
I am completely new to this field and I began reading a lot about PacBio CCS which would suit my needs best. Any recommendations or ideas how to learn sequence data analysis? I am "physician scientist" and would probably need some kind of seminars or courses. Ideas anyone?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello!
I recommend two places to start:
    1. The official PacBio landing page for SMRT analysis, all free open-source http://pacbiodevnet.com/
    2. There is a new (and amusing) tutorial written by a blogger about PacBio data. http://www.homolog.us/Tutorials/index.php?p=1.1&s=5

SeqAnswers is regularly perused by PacBio technical staff. Also, I am the regional account manager for PacBio, so feel free to email if you would like specific questions answered. More than happy to have one of our local scientists assist you. akieu (at) pacificbiosciences (dot) com

Exploring the Dynamics of the Tumor Microenvironment
      by seqadmin

The complexity of cancer is clearly demonstrated in the diverse ecosystem of the tumor microenvironment (TME). The TME is made up of numerous cell types and its development begins with the changes that happen during oncogenesis. “Genomic mutations, copy number changes, epigenetic alterations, and alternative gene expression occur to varying degrees within the affected tumor cells,” explained Andrea O’Hara, Ph.D., Strategic Technical Specialist at Azenta. “As...

Exploring Human Diversity Through Large-Scale Omics
      by seqadmin

In 2003, researchers from the Human Genome Project (HGP) announced the most comprehensive genome to date1. Although the genome wasn’t fully completed until nearly 20 years later2, numerous large-scale projects, such as the International HapMap Project and 1000 Genomes Project, continued the HGP's work, capturing extensive variation and genomic diversity within humans. Recently, newer initiatives have significantly increased in scale and expanded beyond genomics, offering a more detailed...
