Before I flood the forums with questions, I would like to make a first post to say Hello and Thank You.
I have been doing bioinformatics for over 10 years now but just recently got handed a project using Illumina 76bp sequencing to study the metabolome of human gut bacteria and am finding myself in too deep. Since I am the only bioinformatician where I work, I am very relieved to find this site.
It is always good to see that I am not alone (in my confusion and frustration) and it awesome to see that so many great people have come here to share experiences and expertise.
So I am off to continue reading as many threads as I can before I post my first noob questions
