Hi all,
My name is Tim and I'm just getting into bioinformatics. I'm basically a software architect by trade, although I do have a degree in genetics - that currently feels like it was far too long ago!
I've realised that my mathematical skills are lagging way, way behind what is required, so if anyone can point me towards some resources for 'stats for biologists' or something similar I'd really appreciate it!
I live and work in Hungary (although I'm a Brit), and I recently joined a small company called Omixon where I'm working on a color-read alignment, mapping, assembly and variant calling toolkit, and having a lot of fun so far.
