Introduction
Hello all. I recently finished my PhD in Biological Sciences and have transitioned a little into the world of bioinformatics. I was hired to join my group to get their NGS up and running and the analysis pipeline in place, but my background in this area is very weak. So far we are only doing RNAseq. This could change in the future.

The immune system’s power comes from its genetic diversity, allowing myriad threats to be neutralized through first recognizing foreign antigens. That diversity is also what makes the immune system so difficult to study. Recent advances in sequencing technology and computational biology, however, are giving researchers new tools to understand immune responses and immune-related diseases in greater detail.
