    Hi

    Just wanted to introduce myself, as that is what the site told me to do.

    I am a user of Ion Torrent PGM and Illumina Miseq currently in the Genomics Facility. I have just started as the facility director. I have a lot of experience with RNAseq on the PGM as well as some microbiome (16s) work. I have used the PGM to do characterization of mutants and what not (mostly prokaryotic because as we know the PGM doesn't go very deep) and for transcript discovery/genome re-annotation projects.

    New to Illumina. I am hoping to start my first Illumina RNAseq on Monday and have been using this site to figure out what the hell I'm doing. I also have several projects in the pipeline for microbiome, ChIP-seq, exosome sequencing and some targeted RNAseq and RNA structure seqs.

    I have a decent amount of experience with general molecular techniques and lab procedures (again mostly in prokaryotes as this was my training). Always willing to help anyone I can and always trying to learn something new.
