Hi,
I'm quite happy to have stumbled upon this resource, my group has had 3 FLX sequencers running for about 18months and they are now my responsibility. Hopefully I'll be able to give back to the group as I am sure after we purchase our 2 GA2's in the upcoming 6 months, I'll have some questions.

What kind of applications with the FLX? And do you use the vendor software or some other tools as well?

We're using the FLX in drug discovery. A pool of compounds are covalently linked to a DNA tag which describes the "recipe" for making the compound. The pool of DNA is recovered after several stringent washes with a protein of interest.

The basecalling is with the vanilla Roche product, but we do use a custom application for the deconvolution of the DNA "recipe."
