  • Clinical Bioinformatics post in Cambridge, UK

    The Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a bioinformatician to join the Regional Clinical Genetics Laboratory at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge.

    The Trust is one of the largest and busiest hospitals in the country and is a leading clinical and academic centre with a national and international reputation for excellence.

    The successful applicant will have a PhD or MSc qualification and significant experience in developing and implementing bioinformatic tools in human genetics. You should have a good knowledge of UNIX and a programming or scripting language, and experience in applying bioinformatic tools to analyse and interpret next generation sequencing data. You will work closely with Bioinformaticians in the Biomedical Research Centre, who have access to a wealth of resources. You will take a lead role in advising the Laboratory on all aspects of IT, including the use of networks, data storage, and data protection, and will be in a key position to help shape the future of informatics in this Regional Clinical Genetics Laboratory.

    Salary £30,460 - £40,157 p.a
