We seek a postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in computational bioinformatics to take a leading role in the development, implementation and operation of analysis pipelines for single cell DNA and RNA sequencing, and to provide bioinformatics support for the Single Cell Genomics Team.
The analyst will report to the Bioinformatics Development Group leader and the Single Cell Genomics Team leader.
Responsibilities:
Development, maintenance and deployment of analysis pipelines for single cell RNA and DNA sequencing at the CNAG.
Provide bioinformatics support for the Single Cell Genomics team.
Support of CNAG’s projects as required.
Requirements:
- A Doctoral degree in Bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science or related discipline and/or proven experience in the field.
- Previous experience in high-throughput genome analysis is required.
- Very able with Unix operating systems
- Skilled programmer in C, C++, Perl and/or Python. Knowledge of Java, R or other programming/analysis languages will be also valued.
- Experience with revision control systems (CVS, SVN, Git) an advantage
- Good spoken and written English.
