University of Macau was recently relocated to a new home at picturesque Hengqin, Zhuhai that China leased to Macau SAR. Faculty of Health Sciences is a new addition to the University, currently having near 30 faculty members recruited worldwide and 10 topnotch core facilities with cutting-edge technologies. Its research mainly targets cancer, ageing, neural and other degenerative diseases. Stem cells provide a unique approach and critical tool for addressing questions in these studies.
My laboratory studies stem cell biology and therapy. Specifically, we focus on mesenchymal stem cells derived from human pluripotent stem cells and their application in treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. For details, please see http://fhs.umac.mo/staff/academic-staff/xu-ren-he/
Applicant recruited to this position is expected to work as a core bioinformaticist to analyze NGS data such as RNA-Seq and DNA-Seq generated from stem cells and interacting cells. He/She will also help teammates conduct such analyses and validate data using various methods.

Salary: 2,000-2,600 US$/month
