  • Research scientist in bioinformatics in Sweden

At Protein Structure and Bioinformatics Group (http://structure.bmc.lu.se/) at Lund University, Sweden we are recruiting a research scientist/postdoctoral fellow (biträdande forskare in Swedish) to develop prediction methods for variation analysis and for studies of large genomic data sets especially in the field of cancers. The main task is development of algorithms and data analysis of massive genomic and other data.supported project to develop artificial intelligence/machine learning methods for variation interpretation. Our group has a tradition to developed some of the most reliable prediction methods in the world for sorting out harmful variants and for predicting the causative mechanisms (at DNA, RNA, protein, structure, function etc levels).

The position is for one year and open immediately. The position is at the Department of Experimental Medical Science, Lund University and located at the Biomedical Center (BMC). There may be a possibility for an extension. Candidates should have a PhD degree in bioinformatics, computational biology or on a related field.

More details, requirements and instructions for application are available at https://lu.varbi.com/en/what:job/jobID:315743/

Application deadline is on March 1st.
For more information contact Prof. Mauno Vihinen ([email protected]).
