  • World-class Bioinformatics Field Application Scientist - Europe

    Location: Europe based

All over the world, we experience tremendous growth in the use of our high quality solutions for NGS data analysis, and we are now looking for an experienced Field Application Scientist to join our European team.

    You should be passionate about pre-sales and key account support to a range of local, regional and global accounts in collaboration with your colleagues at our global headquarters in Denmark, throughout Europe, and at other CLC bio locations around the world. Specifically, we focus our energy on existing and potential customers and you will be meeting with these groups on a daily basis.

    Responsibilities

    • Performing internet based and on-site product demonstrations and training sessions, on your own and together with your CLC bio colleagues
    • Having phone meetings to support current and prospective customers with their bioinformatics solutions, also thereby obtaining feedback for improving our solutions and facilitating further investments in CLC bio solutions
    • Working with the global sales, support, and developer staff; NGS instrument vendors; external sales partners etc. to ensure the best possible support to our customers and continuity in closing large business deals
    • Participation in conferences and trade shows at booths, as well as poster and speaking engagements
    • Contributing to writing posters, white papers, and other marketing collateral

    Minimum Requirements

    • Scientific background – preferably PhD degree – in molecular biology or another life science subject.
    • 3+ years of experience in either (a) pre-sales activities or support related to bioinformatics software and services, or (b) pre-sales activities or support related to scientists involved in DNA-sequencing, preferably Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS).
    • Excellent customer service skills, enthusiastic attitude, and solid work ethics
