  • Partek Field Applications Scientist (FAS) - UK

    As a Partek Field Application Scientist you will provide efficient, polite and sensitive software support and training through email, telephone, web conference, written documentation, classroom trainings and face to face interactions with scientists using Partek software.

    Job duties include but are not limited to:
    • Pre-sales demonstrations
    • Providing technical support to customers via phone and email
    • Giving on-site customer training
    • Providing customer feedback to marketing and product development teams
    • Attending trade shows and conferences
    • Product testing and reporting of software defects

    Desired skills and expertise:

    The successful candidate will have higher-level technical software skills, good knowledge of molecular biology and genetics, and a good understanding of statistical data analysis.

    • Ph.D. or M.S. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics or closely related field in life sciences
    • Knowledge of microarray and next generation sequencing data analysis
    • Clear vision of and commitment to providing outstanding customer service
    • Ability to consult with customer to define user requirements, prior field experience supporting customers is preferred
    • Outstanding problem solving and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated written and verbal communication and training skills
    • Genuine interest in learning new skills, driven by scientific curiosity
    • Travel 25-35% of the time for customer training and trade shows
    • Ability to work independently from a home-office
    • Location: London, UK
