Genohub is a small startup with a big mission. Thousands of scientists use our online platform to reliably conduct projects with external labs. We are looking for a motivated and self-driven individual with expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) and bioinformatics to play a major role in several areas.
Job responsibilities will include:
- Provide technical consultation to clients with NGS and bioinformatics projects. This involves assisting with experimental design, and choosing the right service and sequencing technology to meet project goals
- Provide technical supervision on NGS and bioinformatics projects conducted on the Genohub platform
- Actively participate in setting future product direction and work closely with our development team to define new product features for our online platform
Manage relationships with Genohub’s network for service providers and help onboard new providers
- Write technical guides and blog posts
Desired skills and qualifications:
- MS or PhD degree in biological sciences, bioinformatics, or a closely related field
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience (in next-generation sequencing, genomics data analysis)
- High level of familiarity with latest NGS technologies, methodologies and software tools for acquisition and analysis of genomic sequencing data
- Entrepreneurial, self-driven and motivated to work with little to no supervision and to take up new responsibilities as needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Amplicon sequencing is a targeted approach that allows researchers to investigate specific regions of the genome. This technique is routinely used in applications such as variant identification, clinical research, and infectious disease surveillance. The amplicon sequencing process begins by designing primers that flank the regions of interest. The DNA sequences are then amplified through PCR (typically multiplex PCR) to produce amplicons complementary to the targets. RNA targets...-

Targeted sequencing is an effective way to sequence and analyze specific genomic regions of interest. This method enables researchers to focus their efforts on their desired targets, as opposed to other methods like whole genome sequencing that involve the sequencing of total DNA. Utilizing targeted sequencing is an attractive option for many researchers because it is often faster, more cost-effective, and only generates applicable data. While there are many approaches...-
